I just read on Circuitnet,(an e-mail newsletter I get), an announcement
recently published in Circuitree Magazine...

At PCB EAST - the year 2006 has been declared the 'Year of the Designer'!

I'm sure that all Printed Circuit Designers everywhere will appreciate the
well deserved recognition that this year of celebration will bring.

Designers play a very pivotal roll in the development of electronics. They
deserve to be recognized for their efforts to improve the quality,
manufacturability, performance and cost of those products that are
manufactured, assembled, tested, and sold all around the world.  If you find
yourself working on an electronic circuit somewhere in the world, you have a
designer somewhere to thank for your paycheck.

Let's hear it for the PCB Designers!
