Jimmy,
I am not sure how much of this technology is still in use to day.
About a decade and a half it was widely used for low cost,
low-tech.hi-runners
products like calculators, remote controls, telephone sets, etc.
especially on the far east.
Substrate would usually be FR2, the holes were punched and then filled
with
silver paste as a substitute to hole plating. This is naturally for
double side
boards only. Another branch of this tech. was the "silver jumpers"
which allowed for extra conductors on the same layer to save on layer
count.

Subject: [DC] Silver through hole technology

Hello!

I'm looking into something called silver through hole technology.

Could any of you give me inputs, opinions or personal experience with
this technology?

Is it any good or it's more trouble then it's worth?

Thanks,
