Dear Colleagues:
An IPC member company would like to use Thiourea as a solder brightener. Although Thiourea is a Section 313 compound, it is not a listed hazardous air pollutant under the Clean Air Act. Yet, this company has a state air permit that restricts the company from using Thiourea. The company is looking for any information that would help the company prove to its state air permitting authority that Thiourea is not an air pollutant that causes significant health nor environmental concerns. Does anyone have any information on the environmental and health risks associated with Thiourea in an air emission form? Can anyone recommend sources for such information?
I will forward any and all information to this company. Thanks for your help on this inquiry.
