We test for the REACH restricted phthalates. Now I hear they might add di-n-pentyl phthalate. My question to you all is:
Does anyone know of a general chemical test for phthalates? We have tried FTIR and have got false positives and false negatives. I was wondering if there was some wet chemistry test that could be used. I figure sooner or later they are going to ban all of them so I would just like to know if there are any in the materials I test, whether or not they are already on a target list.
